Job Description: The role is not static and will evolve as we build and grow the function, drive commercial insights, critical financial reporting, and the effective line 1 management of property and casualty insurance risk across a financial conglomerate. Job Responsibilities: Credible financial reporting and management reporting. Build and embed a line 1 property and casualty governance capability. Effective reporting of property and casualty insurance risk to the Board. Driving the delivery of property and casualty insurance risk management initiatives. Supporting the broader Group Finance function in respect of property and casualty considerations e.g., capital considerations, impacts on financial reporting, and appropriate valuation principles and methodologies. Delivering through effective stakeholder engagement. Job Requirements: Ability to derive appropriate strategies and a strong sense of ownership to drive strategies to completion. Effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration. Responsible project, time, and self-management. Ability to see and execute on process improvements. The enthusiasm to drive insights from results that influence the Group’s strategic direction and insurance risk management. Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) to stakeholders from different business units with differing levels of actuarial exposure. Enthusiasm to expand the capability through cross-collaboration and supporting various teams.
