Job Description: The Group Financial Accountant will be party of the statutory reporting and IFRS technical function of the Santam group. Job Responsibilities: Prepare consolidated and stand-alone IFRS-compliant annual financial statements. Interact regularly with the external auditors. Present IFRS training. Assist with ad hoc tasks within Group Reporting team. Prepare IFRS technical memos dealing with M&A transactions, general accounting and new IFRS standards. Job Requirements: CA (SA). Tax knowledge Comprehensive and extensive knowledge of IFRS, including insurance accounting. Extensive financial accounting experience in complex technical environments, including consolidation and group reporting experience. Minimum 3 years financial services experience post articles; experience in the insurance industry would be highly recommended. Insurance Act, Companies Act
