Actively participating in the research, teaching, and social impact activities of the Department; Applying for external research funding; Serving on departmental and Faculty committees; Publishing in recognised international research outlets or on similar publication platforms; Job Requirements: First language fluency in one of South Africa's official languages other than English or Afrikaans, and the ability to function in a multilingual environment; PhD (completed or evidence of near completion) in Linguistics; Specialisation (at PhD level) in the morphosyntax of one of South Africa's official languages other than English or Afrikaans; Teaching experience in morphosyntax and at least one of the following: language acquisition, phonetics/phonology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, semantics, sign language linguistics, or
